Day 1 – Arrival In Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you will be met by your private representative and transferred to Gran Meliá Arusha.

Settle into your elegant five-star accommodation and take time to recover from your journey.

Day 2 – Arusha → Northern Serengeti

Northern Serengeti | Overnight: Singita Mara River Tented Camp

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your scenic flight to the Northern Serengeti.

Flying north dramatically reduces road travel time and places you directly into the heart of the Great Migration region.

Upon arrival at the Northern Serengeti airstrip, meet your private safari guide and vehicle and begin your first migration safari.

Between July and October, the Northern Serengeti can be alive with huge concentrations of wildebeest and zebra. The herds move according to grazing conditions, water availability, and instinct, making every day in the migration corridor unpredictable and exciting.

Your guide will monitor wildlife activity and recent herd movements to maximize your chances of encountering the migration.

Continue toward Singita Mara River Tented Camp, your luxury base for the next three nights.

Day 3 – Northern Serengeti Migration Safari

Today is dedicated entirely to following the Great Wildebeest Migration.

Set out after an early breakfast with your private guide and explore the northern Serengeti migration corridor.

The Northern Serengeti is particularly famous during this period for the possibility of witnessing the herds gathering around the Mara River.

The exact timing of river crossings is impossible to predict. You may spend time observing thousands of wildebeest and zebra moving across the plains, gathering near the river, or crossing at one of the many crossing points.

The area is also an excellent habitat for predators. Lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, crocodiles, and other predators take advantage of the abundance of prey.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your safari throughout the afternoon.

Return to Singita Mara River Tented Camp for dinner and an evening beneath the African sky.

Day 4 – Mara River & Northern Serengeti

Northern Serengeti | Overnight: Singita Mara River Tented Camp

Rise early for another full day in the Mara River region.

Your private guide will assess the latest wildlife activity and determine the best areas to explore. If the herds are gathering near a crossing point, you may spend time waiting quietly and observing their behavior.

A river crossing, when it occurs, can be an extraordinary spectacle. Thousands of animals may gather at the riverbanks before suddenly surging into the water. The scene can include crocodiles waiting below and predators watching nearby.

However, migration viewing is not solely about river crossings. The northern Serengeti itself offers outstanding wildlife viewing, beautiful granite kopjes, open plains, and resident wildlife.

Enjoy a bush picnic during the day before continuing your exploration.

Return to camp in the late afternoon for relaxation and dinner.

Day 5 – Northern Serengeti → Central Serengeti

Enjoy a game drive en route, exploring the changing landscapes of the Serengeti as you travel from the northern plains toward the central region.

The Central Serengeti is famous for its resident wildlife and year-round predator activity. Depending on the season and local conditions, you may encounter lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, and numerous antelope species.

The Great Wildebeest Migration is a natural and constantly moving phenomenon. While July–October is one of the most popular periods for visiting the Northern Serengeti and Mara River region, the exact location and timing of the herds cannot be guaranteed.

River crossings are particularly unpredictable. Herds may gather for hours or days before crossing, change direction, or cross at a different location.

This itinerary is therefore designed to provide maximum flexibility and excellent access to the Northern Serengeti migration corridor, rather than promising a specific river crossing.

Your private guide will monitor herd movements and local conditions throughout the safari and adapt game drives accordingly.
