Day 1 – Arusha → Tarangire National Park

Tarangire | Overnight: Lake Burunge Tented Lodge

Your adventure begins with a morning departure from Arusha.

Travel by private safari vehicle toward Tarangire National Park, one of northern Tanzania’s most distinctive wildlife areas.

Tarangire is famous for its ancient baobab trees, seasonal wetlands, and large elephant populations. The park’s varied habitats also attract giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, impala, gazelles, and numerous bird species.

After entering the park, enjoy an afternoon private game drive.

Your guide will explore areas where wildlife is most active, looking for elephants moving between the woodland and water sources as well as predators and plains game.

As the afternoon light begins to soften, leave the park and continue toward Lake Burunge Tented Lodge.

Settle into your accommodation and enjoy dinner overlooking the surrounding wilderness.

Day 2 – Tarangire → Central Serengeti

Central Serengeti | Overnight: Tukaone Camps

Rise early for a morning game drive in Tarangire, when temperatures are cooler and wildlife is often particularly active.

Continue your journey toward the Serengeti, traveling through the spectacular landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

The route offers changing scenery, from the highlands surrounding Ngorongoro to the expansive plains of the Serengeti.

As you enter Serengeti National Park, begin looking for wildlife along the route. Depending on the season and current herd movements, you may encounter wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, elephants, buffalo, antelope, and predators.

Continue to Tukaone Camps, your base for the next two nights.

Enjoy the evening around camp and prepare for a full day of Serengeti exploration tomorrow.

Day 3 – Central Serengeti

Central Serengeti | Overnight: Tukaone Camps

Today is dedicated to a full-day private safari in the Central Serengeti.

After an early breakfast, head out with your private safari guide to explore the central plains and surrounding areas.

The Central Serengeti is a year-round wildlife destination and an important habitat for large numbers of resident animals.

Search for the Serengeti’s famous predators, including lions, leopards, cheetahs and hyenas, as well as elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, gazelles, and other plains game.

Depending on the time of year, migrating herds may also pass through or remain in the central region.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your game drive throughout the afternoon.

Return to Tukaone Camps in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

Day 4 – Central → Northern Serengeti

Northern Serengeti | Overnight: Untamed Migration Camp

After breakfast, begin your journey north toward the Great Migration corridor.

Today’s route takes you deeper into the Serengeti, with the game drive continuing throughout the journey.

The landscape gradually changes as you approach the Northern Serengeti and the Kogatende/Mara River region.

During the July–October period, this area can host large concentrations of wildebeest and zebra as the herds move toward and across the Mara River.

Your private guide will monitor wildlife activity and recent migration movements to identify promising areas for exploration.

Arrive at Untamed Migration Camp, an intimate mobile-style safari camp designed to follow the migration and provide an authentic wilderness experience.

Enjoy dinner at camp and listen to the sounds of the Serengeti after dark.

Day 5 – Northern Serengeti & Mara River

Northern Serengeti | Overnight: Untamed Migration Camp

Today is the highlight of your Great Migration adventure.

Set out early for a full-day migration safari around Kogatende and the Mara River region.

During July–October, enormous herds of wildebeest and zebra may gather in this region. The animals move through the northern Serengeti in search of fresh grazing and water.

Your private guide will follow the most recent herd movements and explore the area in search of concentrations of wildlife.

If the herds are gathered around the river, you may have the opportunity to witness one of Africa’s most spectacular wildlife events: a Mara River crossing.

River crossings are entirely natural and unpredictable. Herds may gather at the riverbank for hours or days before crossing, change direction, or cross at a different point.

Even without a crossing, the Northern Serengeti offers exceptional wildlife viewing, with lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, elephants, giraffes, crocodiles, hippos, and other wildlife found throughout the area.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your safari into the afternoon.

Return to Untamed Migration Camp for dinner and an evening around the campfire.

Day 6 – Northern Serengeti → Ngorongoro

Ngorongoro Conservation Area | Overnight: Ngorongoro Safari Lodge

Enjoy an early morning game drive in the Northern Serengeti, providing one final opportunity to observe the wildlife and migration corridor before heading south.

After the morning safari, begin your transfer toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Travel through the changing landscapes of the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Highlands.

Upon arrival, check into Ngorongoro Safari Lodge, located on the crater rim and offering spectacular views over the crater.

Spend the remainder of the day relaxing and enjoying the dramatic highland setting.

The lodge’s location provides an excellent opportunity to watch the sun set over the crater before dinner.

Day 7 – Ngorongoro Crater → Arusha

Ngorongoro Crater | Arusha Departure

Wake early and descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for your final private safari.

The crater is one of Africa’s most remarkable natural wildlife areas and supports an extraordinary concentration of animals within its enclosed ecosystem.

During your crater game drive, search for lions, elephants, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, gazelles, and other wildlife.

The crater is also one of Tanzania’s best places to look for the endangered black rhinoceros, although sightings can never be guaranteed.

Enjoy a picnic lunch within the crater before ascending the crater walls.

Continue by private vehicle toward Arusha, where your safari concludes.

If your onward flight is later in the day, the journey can be coordinated around your departure schedule.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 - Arusha – Arusha National Park

In the morning, we will collect you from your hotel in Arusha and take you to the Arusha National Park. The park has an incredible variety of fauna and flora, which cannot fail to impress. Hollywood also chose this region to film the movie “Hatari” in which Hardy Kruger starred alongside the legendary John Wayne. Your day trip will include a visit to the Ngurdoto Crater. Buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, warthogs, zebras and baboons can be seen all year round as well as many different bird species. At the Momella Gate, an armed ranger will be waiting for you to accompany you on your walking safari that will give you the chance to experience the wildlife up-close. Only a few other national parks in Tanzania give you such an opportunity and it is something that should not be missed. Lunch will be taken at a picnic place and in the afternoon, you will continue your tour in the safari vehicle through the Arusha National Park. After plenty of time is allocated for you to observe the wildlife, we will take you back to Arusha. Contact us.
