DAY 1
Arusha to Tarangire National Park – Game Drive and Transfer to Karatu
Your safari begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. After a 2-hour drive, arrive at Tarangire National Park, a lesser-known gem famous for its massive elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and the wildlife-rich Tarangire River.
On your guided game drive, keep an eye out for lions, zebras, giraffes, bushbucks, wildebeests, and rare sightings like the fringe-eared oryx or gerenuk. The park’s scenic mix of savannahs and swamps offers stunning photo opportunities.
In the late afternoon, depart for Karatu village in the green highlands near Ngorongoro. Check in at Karatu Tented Lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Ngorongoro Crater Safari – Return to Arusha

Enjoy a full morning game drive through this lush and fertile wildlife haven. You’re likely to encounter the Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard—as well as hyenas, jackals, flamingos, and possibly endangered African wild dogs.
After a scenic picnic lunch in the crater, begin your journey back to Arusha, arriving in the early evening.
