Your journey begins after meeting your private guide and boarding your 4×4 Toyota Land Cruiser safari vehicle. You’ll drive southwest to Tarangire National Park, famous for its giant baobab trees, elephant herds, and the life-giving Tarangire River.
On your first game drive, expect sightings of giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, lions, and possibly the rare fringe-eared oryx. Later, transfer to Karatu Tented Lodge, located near the Ngorongoro Highlands.

After breakfast, travel through Lake Manyara region and the fertile Ngorongoro Highlands before entering the iconic Serengeti National Park. By early afternoon, you’ll reach the sweeping plains and begin game viewing immediately.
Depending on the Great Migration season, your accommodation will be strategically placed:
July–October: Northern Serengeti (Mara River crossings)
January–March: Southern Serengeti (calving season)
Nov–Dec / Apr–June: Central Serengeti (resident game)
Overnight: Golden Serengeti Camp

Spend the next three days fully immersed in Serengeti game drives, tailored to the current location of the wildebeest herds. Your guide will help you locate areas of migration activity and possible predator-prey interactions, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas.
You’ll also explore diverse Serengeti ecosystems:
Southern Plains: Wildebeest calving grounds
Western Corridor: Riverine crossings
Northern Serengeti: Dramatic Mara River crossings
Central Serengeti (Seronera): Resident Big Five sightings year-round

After breakfast and a final morning game drive in Serengeti’s Seronera Valley, begin your scenic transfer to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route, stop for a picnic lunch and take in the first views of the massive Ngorongoro Crater from its rim.
Check in at Ngorongoro Kuhama Camp, perched near the crater rim and offering sunset views over the caldera.

Wake early for a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest unbroken volcanic caldera, home to over 25,000 animals. Spend your day exploring this UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you’re likely to spot:
Black rhinos
Lions, elephants, zebras, buffaloes
Hyenas, hippos, and over 500 bird species
After a picnic lunch at a scenic spot inside the crater, ascend and begin the return drive to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.
