Your tour starts at Dar es Salaam airport. Transfers to the airport are not included. You will fly with Coastal aviation to Pemba Island! Depending on your arrival in Dar es Salaam you can choose to go with the morning or afternoon flight.

Pemba Island has been separated from the mainland of Tanzania and Zanzibar for decades, leaving an untouched and pristine island of great beauty and fertility. The mosaic of forests, swamps, mangroves, hidden beaches and lagoons is scattered with the ruins of mosques and tombs mostly reclaimed by the forest – sites that date back to Arab domination when Pemba Island was seized by the Sultan of Muscat (Oman).

Upon arrival the driver/guide from Manta resort will be waiting to take you to Manta resort on the Northern tip of the island. Elevated and crafted along an idyllic island beach, The Manta Resort offers privacy, romance, adventure and water sports on East Africa’s finest island sanctuary. It is not a traditional 5 star resort but a unique experience!

The coming 3 nights you will sleep in the underwater room! This is the heart-stopping experience that awaits you. The floating structure, Swedish engineered, provides three levels, those above the water clad in local hardwood, and each an experience in itself.
