Your journey begins with a morning pickup in Arusha and a scenic drive to Lake Manyara National Park, one of Tanzania’s most compact yet ecologically rich parks.
Explore the park on a game drive with a picnic lunch, spotting flamingos along the lake shore and over 500 bird species in its wetlands. Wildlife sightings may include elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, and playful troops of monkeys in the fig tree forests.
After the game drive, head toward the Ngorongoro Highlands and check in at Octagon Lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast, travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest unbroken volcanic caldera on Earth.

Have your picnic lunch at a scenic spot by the lake, then continue wildlife viewing before returning to your lodge in Karatu by late afternoon.
