Experience Remote Wildlife in One of Tanzania’s Wildest and Least-Visited Parks

This 3-day Katavi National Park fly-in safari takes you deep into Tanzania’s remote southwest, where untouched wilderness, vast plains, and dense animal populations offer an unforgettable safari experience far from the crowds. With direct flights from Dar es Salaam to Mpanda, this tour is perfect for adventurous travelers seeking raw, unfiltered African wildlife viewing.

When do flights to Katavi operate?

Scheduled flights from Dar es Salaam to Mpanda operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays only. Advanced booking is recommended due to limited availability.

Katavi is renowned for its huge hippo populations, crocodile-infested rivers, and herds of buffaloes, elephants, lions, and leopards. It’s one of the best places in Tanzania to see uncrowded wildlife sightings.

Katavi is better suited for returning safari-goers or those seeking a remote, off-the-beaten-path adventure, due to its isolation and minimal infrastructure.

This itinerary includes domestic flights, airport transfers, park fees, game drives with professional guides, and full-board accommodation at a Katavi lodge.
