Tour Overview

Mikumi is Tanzania’s fourth-largest national park. It’s also the most accessible from Dar es Salaam. With almost guaranteed wildlife sightings, it makes an ideal safari destination for those without much time.

Day 1

Pick Up in Dar Es Salaam at 07:00 am and drive to Mikumi National Park. Have a lunch stop at a restaurant in Msolwa, then proceed with a drive to Mikumi National Park. You will have an evening game drive until sunset. This is a home to elephants, lions, wild dogs, zebras, hyenas, buffalos, wildebeests, elands, hartebeest, crocodiles, lizards, and other residents. Camp Bastian Mikumi (Outside the park)
Vuma Hills Tented Camp (Inside the park).

Days 2

Enjoy an early morning game viewing in the park. Mikumi’s vegetation includes woodland, swamp, and grassland with two water holes, Mkata and Chamgore. Apart from the saddle-billed storks, hamerkops, and malachite kingfishers, you will also find monitor lizards and a deadly python inhabiting the pools. Later drive back to Dar Es Salaam where you will arrive late evening (Breakfast & Lunch)
