DAY 1

Arrival in Tanzania – Transfer to Moshi

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), our representative will transfer you to your hotel in Moshi, the gateway town to Mount Kilimanjaro. Settle in, relax, and prepare for the journey ahead.

DAY 2

Trek Start – Machame Gate to Machame Camp

Your Kilimanjaro adventure begins! After a briefing and breakfast, drive to Machame Gate (1,490m) to register with the park authorities. Begin your ascent through the lush montane forest to Machame Camp (2,980m), where your porters will have already set up camp.

7 Days Machame Route

DAY 3

Machame Camp to Shira Camp

Climb through the last stretch of rainforest into moorland vegetation and continue toward the Shira Plateau, offering expansive views and the first glimpse of Kilimanjaro’s Western Breach. Overnight at Shira Camp (3,840m).

DAY 4

Shira Camp to Barranco Camp via Lava Tower

Ascend to Lava Tower (4,630m), an important acclimatization point, then descend to Barranco Camp (3,950m) beneath the Great Barranco Wall. Expect dramatic views and significant changes in terrain from rocky ridges to alpine desert.

DAY 5

Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp

Conquer the Barranco Wall and traverse the Karanga Valley to reach Barafu Camp (4,550m), your base for summit night. Finalize your gear, eat early, and rest before the midnight ascent.

6 Days Marangu Trek

DAY 6

Summit Day – Uhuru Peak and Descent to Mweka Camp

Wake around 11:30 PM to begin your summit attempt to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa. After sunrise at Stella Point, push onward to the summit. After celebrations, descend via Barafu Camp to Mweka Camp (3,100m) for a well-earned rest.

Distance: 7 km ascent, 22 km descent
Time: 8 hours up, 9–10 hours down

DAY 7

Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate – Return to Moshi

Hike the final 3 hours down to Mweka Gate (1,980m). Collect your summit certificate and return to Moshi for a hot shower and celebration.

Safari Begins – Moshi to Lake Manyara National Park
