Tanzania Budget Camping Safari is the most unique enjoyable way of experiencing the jungles of the open vast long Savannahs in the wilderness, Budget camping is the ideal way for those who like to “rough it”. Accommodation is provided in a special campsite in a two-man tent.

Day 1 Dar to Mikumi National Park

Starts Early morning drive to Mikumi, arriving at lunch then continuing with game drive.

Overnight at Camp site

Day 2 Mikumi National park

Full-day game drive in Mikumi or two half-day game drive on campsites.

Whilst on safari, you can see a rich variety of bird species, as well as large numbers of giraffes, buffalo, and elephants. If you are lucky you may also be able to spot lions, leopards, and African wild dogs. Likely to be seen animals include zebras, hippos, hartebeest, wildebeest, impala, warthog, eland, and antelope. Several observation towers enable you to overview the park in its entirety.

Day 3 Drive to Ruaha National Park

After breakfast drive to Ruaha national Park, lunch on the way arriving at sundown at the park for evening game drive, un down.

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 4 ,5& 6 Ruaha National Park

Either is a full-day game drive or splitting a day with early morning game drives and evening game drives.

Ruaha National Park (10.300km²) is the most visited National Park in the southern part of Tanzania. Due to its size and the fact that the South of Tanzania is less visited than the northern parks, you still have ample space and you will hardly see any safari vehicles. Ruaha National Park forms a border between Africa’s eastern and southern eco-systems.

Here you will find kudus, which you will seldom find further north and during the same time, you can see grant gazelles that reach their southernmost breeding area. The source of life in the park is doubtless the Great Ruaha River with its huge numbers of crocodiles and hippos. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Day 7 Early morning safari in Ruaha & drive to Iringa

Start the day with an Early morning game drive then breakfast and you will leave the park before lunch and drive 100km to Iringa town for overnight at Neema Craft Guest House.

Visit Ismail storage.

Isimila Stone Age Site, Iringa. Isimila Stone Age Site features ancient tools dating back 60,000 to 100,000 years as well as small canyons, and eroded pillars. Start the tour in a museum on-site, where you can see all the fossils and tools that have been unearthed.

Day 8: Drive to Morogoro

Departure for Morogoro, arriving in late afternoon.

Check-in at a Hotel.

Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Day 9: Hiking to Choma Village on Uluguru Mountains

Start the morning with hiking on Uluguru mountain.

Meet the Waluguru people of Choma village in the Uruguru mountains.  You can experience their hospitality, sample their traditional food, and see their pot and mat-making skills and soil cake making (soil cakes are mostly eaten by women who are pregnant and have a lot of calcium and Iron. It is believed to make a child strong when born). The trip takes 5-6 hrs two ways and involves daily activities.

You may even get a chance to share a cultural talk over lunch/ dinner and waterfalls visit

Walking – steep terrain,3 hours walk.

What to see: villages, waterfalls, and viewpoints, farming land

Accommodation is a homestay, you will stay in one of the houses of the villagers, with a good bed with mosquito net and clean.

Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Day 10: Hiking Morning Site and back to Morogoro

Start morning hike morning site, and then walk back to Morogoro overnight at Hilux/Arc hotel.

Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 11: Morogoro to Dar Es Salaam

End of your southern circuit safari, departure to Dar es Salaam and onward travel.
