Day 1 – Nairobi → Lake Nakuru

Lake Nakuru National Park | Overnight: Lake Nakuru Lodge

Your Kenyan safari adventure begins in Nairobi, where you will meet your safari guide and depart by private safari vehicle toward the Great Rift Valley.

Travel through spectacular landscapes as you make your way to Lake Nakuru National Park.

After arrival, enjoy a game drive through the park.

Lake Nakuru is renowned for its birdlife and scenic surroundings and is home to a variety of wildlife, including buffalo, zebra, giraffe, waterbuck, warthog, and other plains species. The park is also known for its populations of both black and white rhinoceros.

Continue to Lake Nakuru Lodge, set within the park and surrounded by beautiful landscapes.

Relax at the lodge after your game drive and enjoy dinner overlooking the surrounding wilderness.

Day 2 – Lake Nakuru → Maasai Mara

Maasai Mara National Reserve | Overnight: Sentrim Mara Camp

After breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru and travel toward the legendary Maasai Mara National Reserve.

The journey takes you through the Kenyan countryside and into the rolling grasslands of the Mara ecosystem.

Arrive in the Mara around midday or early afternoon and check into Sentrim Mara Camp.

After lunch and a short rest, head out for your first afternoon game drive.

The Maasai Mara is famous for its abundant wildlife and exceptional predator viewing. Look for lions, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, cheetahs, and hyenas.

During the July–October migration period, large herds may be present in the reserve, creating some of Africa’s most exciting wildlife encounters.

Return to camp in the evening for dinner.

Day 3 – Full-Day Maasai Mara Migration Safari

Maasai Mara | Overnight: Sentrim Mara Camp

Wake early and head into the Maasai Mara for a full day of wildlife viewing.

During the migration season, the Mara plains can be filled with enormous herds of wildebeest and zebra.

Your guide will monitor the location of the herds and select the best areas for exploration.

The Mara is also renowned for its predator population. Search for prides of lions, cheetahs stalking the open grasslands, elusive leopards, and hyenas.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the reserve before continuing your safari throughout the afternoon.

If migration activity is concentrated around the Mara River, your guide can position the safari around suitable viewing areas.

Return to Sentrim Mara Camp in the evening.

Day 4 – Maasai Mara & Mara River Region

Maasai Mara | Overnight: Sentrim Mara Camp

Today is dedicated to exploring the Mara River region and surrounding migration corridor.

Depart early with your private safari guide and drive toward areas where the migrating herds may be concentrated.

The Mara River is one of the most famous locations associated with the Great Migration. During the migration season, wildebeest and zebra may gather along the riverbanks before attempting to cross.

A river crossing is one of nature’s most dramatic spectacles, but it is also highly unpredictable. Animals may gather for hours or days, change direction, or cross at another location.

Your guide will therefore focus on the overall wildlife experience rather than a specific crossing.

The Mara River region is also excellent for viewing crocodiles, hippos, elephants, lions, and other resident wildlife.

Enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing your afternoon safari.

Return to camp for your final evening in Kenya.

Day 5 – Maasai Mara → Northern Serengeti, Tanzania

Northern Serengeti | Overnight: Untamed Migration Camp

After breakfast, depart the Maasai Mara and begin your journey toward Tanzania.

Travel toward the Kenya–Tanzania border and complete the necessary immigration and customs procedures before continuing into Tanzania.

Once across the border, proceed toward the Northern Serengeti.

As you enter the Serengeti ecosystem, the scenery changes into the vast open plains for which Tanzania is famous.

Your safari continues along the route, providing opportunities for wildlife viewing as you approach the migration corridor.

Arrive at Untamed Migration Camp, an intimate mobile-style safari camp positioned to provide access to the Northern Serengeti.

Enjoy dinner and your first evening in the Tanzanian wilderness.

Day 6 – Northern Serengeti Migration Safari

After an early breakfast, set out with your private guide toward the Kogatende and Mara River region.

During July–October, the northern Serengeti may host large concentrations of wildebeest and zebra.

Your guide will monitor the movements of the herds and explore the areas where wildlife activity is most promising.

If conditions are right, you may witness herds gathering at the Mara River, with the possibility of a dramatic river crossing.

As you travel south, the landscape gradually changes, with open plains, rocky kopjes, woodland, and seasonal water sources creating diverse habitats.

After the morning safari, continue toward Arusha by private vehicle or connect with a scheduled flight depending on your onward travel arrangements.
